mLab trainings in Gyumri
Through collaboration with MLab Regional Mobile Application Laboratory for Eastern Europe, South Caucasus project of EIF, Gyumri Information Technologies Center (GITC) has initiated series of Mobile Development trainings in Gyumri. mLab will provide mobile-platform development short term and long term courses for GITC students and Gyumri IT professionals.
This cooperation started by short training on "Mobile Web Development”.
The training will focus on HTML5 and CSS3, and their uses in mobile application development. Courses will promote the use of these techniques among young specialists and students, thus promoting mobile application development in general.
Key training topics include:
- Mobile Web Design Intro
- HTML5
- CSS3
- JavaScript
A trial training in mobile web development was delivered by GITC experienced programmer and trainer Shahen Gasparyan from December 21-23. 18 students participated short training. The continuation of trainings is scheduled to start on January 8, 2012 and continue until March 8.
We hope the given courses will allow for the creation of a Mobile Development faculty within GITC with curriculum that focuses on mobile platforms and technologies like Android, iPhone, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, etc.
