About Contest
The World Summit Award Mobile (WSA-mobile) is a global initiative to select and promote the world’s best in mobile content and innovative applications within the framework of, and in cooperation with, the United Nations’ World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), mandated by the WSIS Plan of Action and executed in collaboration with UNESCO, UNIDO and UN GAID.
The World Summit Award and its global network uses its eleven years of expertise to answer the main question: “What is really out there in the mobile world and might still be slumbering inside a few creative minds, but can change our everyday life tomorrow?”
WSA-mobile was started in 2010 as the sister-award of the World Summit Award for e-Content. WSA-mobile reaches out to mobile communities from more than 170 UN and UNESCO member states to organize its global competition for best and most creative mobile Content.
The Armenian WSA-mobile 2014 will be organized by mLab ECA Regional Mobile Application Laboratory, Enterprise Incubator Foundation and Mr. Bagrat Yengibaryan, the National Expert of WSA for Armenia.
WSA-mobile contest aims to reveal the achievements of Armenian m-content and increases public awareness for Armenian m-content on the international level.
WSA-mobile contest is open to any company, organization and individual active in the mobile content and based in Armenia. The highest scored projects in each category will be selected as winners of national contest. There will be one winner for each category. All the winners will get the opportunity to participate in the WSA-mobile Global Congress.
After the national pre-selection period, a jury of eminent experts will come together to evaluate the submissions and select the 40 best products - five in each contest category.
The ultimate highlight of the WSA-mobile 2014 is celebrating international app delicacies at the WSA-mobile Global Congress in February 1-3, 2015. With the great support of ADSIC, WSA-mobile is going to host the smartest and most creative app developers in Abu Dhabi.

Jury Member
Jury is chosen from the group of experts participating in the process of the contest, including leaders in IT and business field, representatives of International organizations and government of Armenia. There will be at least one person specialized in each of the eight categories.
